Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do you sign up? Registering to become a member can be done by clicking on the member tab at the top of the page. At the bottom of this page click on the link that says click here to sign up. There is also a link at the bottom of the homepage where you can sign up as well. Here is the link Click here to become a member!
Q: Where do I go to submit notes? You can either go from the homepage or your profile. However, you have to sign in if you go from the homepage. If you hit the button from the homepage it will direct you straight to the submit notes page. To submit notes from your profile hit the button on the top right of the page labeled submit notes.
Q: What kind of documents can I submit? There are many types of documents that you can submit, however they must be your own work. These document types include Word documents, text notes, Microsoft Onenote, PDF, Powerpoint, Excel, or you can scan your file.
Q: How do I get my Amazon.com gift cards? All gift cards are given via email. The email you gave us during registration will be the email where the gift card is sent. Email gift cards should come within one week after posting notes. If email gift card does not come, and your notes are good notes email us at info@wisecampus.com, and we will work with you.
Q: Can I submit past notes? Past notes are encouraged however; we can not give as many gift cards out for them. If you email us what past notes you have or are going to submit we can work with you. We will evaluate the notes, and compensate you based on what we believe they are worth. Email us at info@wisecampus.com
Q: I am interested in advertising on wisecampus.com? All advertising inquires can be dealt with through any interns that may have contacted you, or through Arik Flanders our sales executive. His email is arik@wisecampus.com
Q: How do I apply for an internship? All internship inquires can be dealt with through Allison Barber, our campus rep coordinator. Her email is Allison@wisecampus.com
Q: How are the points distributed for the notes? (Quality, Quantity, Scholastic Weight, Value)? Every time a note is submitted points are awarded. However, if there is more than one note, or the notes are very good then the staff can add extra points. The ranking system is in place so that the members with the best notes get rewarded extra for their participation.
Q: What if I am scared about my professor finding out and being mad? Talk to your professor to find out if he or she is ok with you posting notes. Professors usually are!
Q: Do I get points for posting anonymously, and how do I do it? Yes, you still get your points for posting anonymously. If your wanting to post your notes anonymously all you need to do is fill out the submit notes sheet as normal, but check the “Post anonymously” box. This will post your notes so that no one can tell who submitted them.
Q: Am I allowed to post literature (Test, Quiz, Notes) straight from the professor? No, you are not allowed to post literature directly from the professor. Quizzes and tests are not permitted at any time. However, if notes are written in your own handwriting then you are allowed to post them.
Q: Can I remove or edit my notes after I have already posted them? You, personally, cannot remove or edit notes at this time. If you need to do either of these you can email the team at info@wisecampus.com
Q: How do I upgrade to a higher ranking on the website? The key way to upgrading to a higher ranking is being active. There are also guidelines that are needed for you to upgrade. Click here to see requirements.
Q: Does the font matter when I upload my notes? No, the font does not matter when you upload notes. However, if they are scanned your notes need to be legible.
Q: How do I change my current classes on my profile page? When you add a new note, your class schedule is automatically updated to include that class. After the semester, your old classes become past classes and are hidden. If you would like a class removed, please email info@wisecampus.com
Q: Is it possible to enter more than one note at a time, and how do I do it? Yes! You can upload multiple documents at one time with our multiple note uploader. If you are pasting the notes in, you have the option after each note to add another note to the class immediately.
Q: How do I redeem my gift cards and put them to use? To redeem gift cards, visit the reward catalog, select the gift card you would like and it will be emailed to you within 1-2 business days. If for some reason you do not receive your gift card, please email info@wisecampus.com.
