It came out to theaters in July. I saw it on opening day. I thought it was rather well-made, but that's just me.

Lea, I've not seen Alice In Wonderland. I was telling Andi about "Public Enemies," in which Depp plays gangster John Dillinger.

For sure. I've definitely read that. It's crazy that some movies live less than 4 weeks in theaters. At the same time, if they are terrible and get released quickly because of that, well then they deserve it.

I have been sooo excited for this movie for like a year!  Can't wait to see it....love Tim Burton!  I don't know how I feel about the storyline not simply being a retelling, though...hmmm.  We'll see.

Andi, I believe what Allison is saying here is that she imagined the story/plot being completely different from what it is in the film. I knew before hand that it was not the same story that was made in to a Disney film beforehand, so I was not upset by that.

I was bothered enough by the Disney version...I love the books.

I've seen it twice now. Disturbing. Depp as the Mad Hatter creeps me out.
