So, there has been so much hype about the movie - Paranormal Activity. I decided to go see it, and I thought it was an interesting movie - especially since it only took $11,000 to create it.
If you saw it - what did you think of it?
I don't think that interests me at all. I may see it just to critique it. How long does it last?

You really should try and see it, it's not bad. Definitely not scary...more just messed up. Kind of like Saw, it's not really scary...it's just thinking that someone had to come up with those ideas, which is what makes it weird...
I think it's about 96 minutes or so. It's not the type of movie that normally interests me either, but I went because of all the hype I had heard about it. I definitely would encourage you to see it. :)

Personally, I just don't like scary movies. I don't really get scared by them, so it kind of takes the whole thrill out of it. But that's really interesting that it only took $11,000 to make. Was it obvious that they didn't spend a lot of money on it?
If you've ever seen the Blair Witch project, it is very similar to that. The whole movie is recorded by this young couple. In the beginning, it's really bad - I felt like I was going to get sick, but it got better. Let's just say - props to them - what an investment. They've made millions off of thousands.
I just watched it last night with my roommate. We were both very freaked out by it. Especially the scene where she is pulled out of the bed! I think the reason it is so scary is the mind control. If you see this movie, I would suggest watching it with someone else.
Yes...I agree. DON'T WATCH ALONE!! haha!! I thought many things were creepy, but for it not being real....don't you think they did a good job with some of those special effects?
You can watch it for free...just google it. They have bootleg films. I personally have not watched it, but I heard the bootleg has a completely different ending.
The movie was not good at all. The crowd, though, was the best part! Haha.

Kendra, I couldn't get into it. I can watch Ghost Hunters on tv for free and see the same damned thing.
Ghost Hunters is really boring to me...half the time you never see stuff happen. Paranormal Activity has way more cool effects. Sorry you couldn't get into it though, it's just not for some....
