yeah definitely not upset about his death, a lot of celebrity deaths lately jacko, ed mcmahon and farah fawcett.

I don't know if upset is the right word for me. I am more shocked? I mean, he was 50. 50 seems somewhat young to me.

I'm a musician. I respect his talent and his contributions...but I am not one of those ppl crying over him.

Not to be harsh... He was dying out of the music world anyhow. His actions lately have shamed his history. He's better off letting his memories speak for his life than living it because he was going to be known for his mistakes not his glories.

I'm not upset over his death. I mean it's sad that he died, but people die every day. Why does he deserve to be mourned more than a kid who dies from gang violence (for example)?

I was at a wedding tonight and they played his music so the mourning is over if people were doing so they're down now

I definitely think it's tragic. The man wasn't called the King of Pop for no reason. Most music today was started and defined by the man, he developed a new genre for generations to come. So really, in my eyes, it's okay for people to be sad, the man was a legend. It's just important that people remember to move on. This world gets too caught up in celebrity lives.

Well, despite all the bad things he is known for, he was the first extremely successful African American entertainer on MTV and supported a lot of charities. Everyone has a good and bad side, and since he's famous, a lot of his bad qualities are exaggerated...

I agree that when celebrities do bad things, it gets exaggerated (but not to pull away that the bad stuff he did was ok). But he was very influential and I remember watching that movie he made where he turns into some robot at the end.. or was that just some weird dream?

He would have made millions for sure, but at a recent press conference, he said that this was it. There would be no more after this set of gigs.

I don't think I'm necessarily upset about his death but it did make me think about the mortality of all the star we love and grew up watching. That's kind of sad to think abou to me. I know every has to die eventually but to think there will be no more Will Smith or Jennifer Aniston movies one day is kind of weird.

They publicised his death WAY too much
